Residential training on Piggery Management conducted

Dimapur, October 8 (MExN): Five days residential training on Piggery Management was organized by the North East Initiative Development Agency (NEIDA) with support from the Tata Trusts and in collaboration with KVK, Dimapur and ICAR Jharnapani at ICAR Research Complex for NEH, Nagaland Centre from September 24 -28. The training was led by Dr Epibeni Ngullie from KVK, Dimapur and Dr Talimoa and Dr Mahak Singh (Scientist) from ICAR, NEIDA Project Associate Aoinla Pongen stated in a press release. Four Livestock Service Providers (LSPs) attended the training and had the opportunity to observe the scientific method of management of pigs. They also paid a visit to private farm. The training ended with a valedictory session by the Joint Director of ICAR Dr Rajkhowa who emphasized on the importance of LSPs extending animal health services in remote areas.
