DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 20 (MExN): DC Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol has informed that the total restriction of all movement from Chathe River Bridge (Patkai Bridge) to New Chümoukedima (Pakala Pahar Bridge) has been extended from 10:30 pm to 5 am (the following day) with effect from September 25 till October 24, 2019.
In addition to the above, all movement will be also restricted from 3 to 3:30 pm and 4:30 to 5 pm to facilitate the use of explosive till October 5, 2019, a notification from the DC informed.
The DC also mentioned that the alternative route from Dimapur -Kohima / Kohima-Dimapur for light vehicles only is available via 7th Mile-New DC Office -Shokhuvi-Razaphe- Mhaikam-Pimla-Mhainamtsi-Jhornapani/Medziphema and vice versa.
The restrictions have been imposed as a preventive measure to avoid loss of life, property and other injuries, the notification added.
