
Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): The Livingstone Foundation International Quarantine Center (LFIQC) which was jointly managed by the Western Sümi Hoho (WSH) and Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK), over a period of 31 days, hosted 155 returnees in two groups from five different states. The first group of returnees arrived on May 25 and the second on May 26.

Giving a report of the quarantine management, N Suhuto Chishi, Convenor, Sumi COVID19 Committee LFIQC stated that all the returnees were swab tested by the Medical Department, out of which 17 returnees were tested positive for COVID-19. “The positive returnees were immediately sent to Dimapur COVID Hospital for proper care and treatment. After completing all the necessary procedures, the remaining returnees were sent to their respective districts on different days. The last group of returnees (62 people) at LFIQC were released on June 24.”
Medical team of Nikos Hospital (17 days) and Faith Hospital Dimapur (11 days) rendered service by daily screening and checking the health status of each returnee at LFIQC
LFIQC management team stated that to make the returnees feel comfortable and reduce boredom, facilities like high-speed internet Wi-Fi, electric water boiler, individual phone charging station, first- aid and filtered drinking water were provided. “To boost the mental and spiritual health of the returnees, daily evening worship service was conducted and online counselling was arranged,” Chishi stated.
It also stated that LFIQC provided food with proper diet requirements to the returnees without taking the aid from the Government. Breakfast was served for 31 times and lunch and dinner were served for 62 times with both Veg. and Non-Veg. options and a tea sachets along with snacks were served at noon.
The LFIQC was managed under the leadership of Dr Kakheto Zhimomi, President, WSH and Rev Dr Phughoto Sema, Executive Secretary, WSBAK.
