The annual Sekrenyi Inter Peli Tournament was held on March 9 at T. Khel Ground, Kohima village.

It was organized by Tsiituonuomia Youth Organization (TYO) and T. Khel Peli Union. T.Khel Council chairman Thepfuvilie Suohu exhorted the gathering. He said Peli is an age group set up wherein they use to go to each other paddy fields on rotation basis. Peli is a unique in itself as the members help one another in agricultural activities. He called upon the members to develop better understanding and maintain peace and unity.
Peli Union chairman Visasielie Suohu also delivered greetings. The programme was chaired by TYO president Kevisenyii Zatsu while Seyiekhrietuo Sekhose compered the competition session. Thepfukhieii invoked God’s blessing. Besides indigenous games competition, inter Peli folk song and yelling competition took place. The prize for various competitions was handed over by Keneingunyii Sekhose, advisor Angami Public Organization.
