Kohima, August 19 (MExN): The Nagaland Wushu Association will be organizing a state level selection trial on August 30 at The Combat Academy, Sovima Village under Chümoukedima district for the upcoming 33rd National Wushu Championship 2024.
In a press release, the Nagaland Wushu Association stated that the 33rd National Wushu Championship 2024 will be held from September 21 to 26 at Maharana Pratap Stadium, Raipur, Dehradun. During the selection trial, the best player for each category will be selected to represent the state in the national championship.
The trials will be conducted in the following weight categories, and athletes should be between 18 and 40 years old, i.e., born between 2006 and 1984.
The weight categories for the Senior Men’s Category are 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, and 90+kg. For the Senior Women’s Category, the weight categories are 45kg, 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, and 75kg.
In this regard, all district associations are requested to ensure the participation of a maximum number of athletes. They are also requested to confirm the number of athletes attending the selection trial by August 28 for logistical arrangements.
