Senior Cong MLA on derogatory write-up

I strongly resented the statement appeared in the Eastern Mirror paper on 18th July, 2009, written by someone with vicious and malicious design to discredit me with baseless, wild and imaginary accusations and therefore, the despicable statement is vehemently denounced.

Even though the derogatory and unsavory write up amply manifested the magnitude of bitterness and hatred on my person by the detractors, they couldn’t stand me in revealing their true identities, instead used some Angami names such as Diethovilhou, Lhounizo and Neizocha which in true sense of Tenyidie, doesn’t literally carry any meaning.

As People’s Representative in the State Legislative Assembly, I am conscious of my roles and responsibilities and also aware of the parameter within which I have to discharge my duties. This being the exact position, I am constrained to out rightly deny the charges leveled against me and term such accusations as a concocted ploy with sinister design to cast aspersion on one’s character and reputation. Further, the Nagaland Legislative Assembly through its Secretary also had made it emphatically clear that it was procedurally irregular and erratic to issue article relating to Assembly proceedings matters in the same way the deceptive statement was published in the Eastern Mirror paper which created negative impression in the minds of our people.

On this libelous issue, the Eastern Mirror must have ascertained the authenticity of the writers and therefore, they are liable to produce proof of the true identity of those people lest there won’t be option left but to take the issue to the Court of Law for redressal and restoration of justice.
