DIMAPUR, MAY 11 (MExN): Nagaland is represented in the coveted Civil Services Examination 2017, courtesy of Swapneel Paul, an alumnus of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, who has bought laurel to the state by cracking the much coveted exam as a topper. Paul, a third-generation Bengali settler in Dimapur, also topped HSLC examination 2006 before embarking on a journey which ultimately led him to the highest echelons of the exalted Civil Services. He started preparation for CSE from October 2013 and has been rewarded with Indian Postal Services and Indian Revenue Service (IRS) along the way. However, with 93 posts from ‘General Category’ out of 180 vacancies reported by the Government to be filled under Indian Administrative Services, Paul ranked 64, has definitely reaped the most prized harvest yet. “It is a sense of service which motivated me to put almost half a decade for preparations for the civil service exams,” said Paul in an exclusive interview with The Morung Express, who wants to make greater impact on the society and touch many lives of millions through his service.
