A row of shops was gutted by a fire at Kuda village, Dimapur on the night of May 11 at around 11:20 pm. The fire engulfed a row of thatch structures housing around 10 small businesses located opposite to the BSF Transit camp. According to the Fire & Emergency Services, it responded to the scene at around 11:20 pm. It took 4 fire trucks and around 30 firemen about an hour to bring the flames under control. Electrical short circuit was attributed as the cause of the fire, but firemen said that it could not be ascertained. There was no report of any casualty.
