SJC (A) hosts annual theatre day

The annual theatre day of Department of English, SJC (A) was held on March 16 at the college auditorium on the theme ‘Vintage’. 


Tthe Acts were on stage where II Sem ‘C’ played out “Man in the Mirror” based on the story of Michael Jackson. IV Sem ‘C’ played out “Pygmalion”, a play by George Bernard Shaw. VI Sem ‘E’ played “Ugly Duckling” written by Hans Christian Andersen. IV Sem ‘D’ performed “Can We Re-write the Stars” written originally by William Ramai of the class. VI Sem ‘F’ performed “All About She” another originally written by Runshito Lims of the class. In between the acts, there were entertaining items from Tingneithem, Thomas, PG Duet, Ali, Amen and the Merakis. 


IV Sem ‘C’ was declared the winner followed by VI Sem ‘F’ in the second place while the third place was secured by VI Sem ‘E’ in the group competition. In the individual category, the Best Actor award went to Anyutho Nyuthe who played Prof. Higgins and the Best Actress went to Lika Zhimomi, who played Miss Eliza Doolittle. While for the best costume male, Vitsa Sangtam was the winner and Female went to Imtinenla.
