Mokokchung District Musicians Association (MDMA) celebrated World Music Day with the rest of the world on June 21 by organizing the second edition of the Junior Solo Competition at Town hall, Mokokchung.
Along with the solo competition, various artists and bands performed at the event. Wainli, a seven year old student of Jubilee Memorial School was adjourned the winner of the Junior Solo Competition 2018 while Moamerenla (15 years) and Moakunzuk (16 years) bagged the second and the third prize respectively. (Photo Courtesy/Meren Pongen)[/caption] At the same event the music video and single of Rezennenla Jamir and Imlichila Kichu, the winner and runner up of Junior Solo competition 2017 was released. The music video and single is a joint production of MDMA and Mokokchung Premier Tv. The winners of this year’s edition received certificate, gift hampers and a music video deal. Some of the artists and bands that performed were Dynamic Cardiods, Mingle tones, Rhythm 26, Alpine Blues, Beyond Sunday, Wati jamr, Aren M Jamir and Mulongnen. Morung Express News
