Some schools coercing students to take COVID -19 vaccination, RPP alleges

Dimapur, January 18 (MExN): The Rising People’s Party (RPP) today alleged that some schools in Dimapur and Kohima are "coercing students" to take COVID -19 vaccination and urged those institution from desist from such “unlawful activities.”

The RRP has received “numerous complaints from desperate parents,” on the issue, maintained a press release from the party.

In addition, some students are “being threatened” that they would not be allowed to sit for offline tests or exams if they’re not vaccinated, the RPP further alleged.

To this end, it asserted that vaccination is an individual choice.

“No schools or colleges can disallow unvaccinated students to sit for exams/tests. To do such would be illegal,” it added.

The RPP already has the names of the educational institutions trying to actively implement the mandatory vaccination policy of the state government. It would like to request such institutions to desist from unlawful activities, the party further maintained.

In this connection the RPP cautioned that the party would have no choice but to file police complaints if its “appeals” are not considered.

The party also appealed to all the “unvaccinated students to appear for their offline tests/exams without fear of persecution from the school/college authorities.”

“The RPP will stand for such persecuted students till the end,” it said, adding that the parents of all “such persecuted students” can contact the grievances cell of the party at 7005633696.
