Dimapur, May 2 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister and BLP leader Y Patton and State President BJP Nagaland Temjen Imna Along mourned the demise of Ekonthung Patton, BJP Mandal president of 40 Bhandari A/C who passed away on April 30.
In a condolence message, Patton stated that late Ekonthung was a humble and sincere party leader who worked for uplifting the people and the party in any given capacity. “His demise is a loss for the people of the area and party,’ he stated, conveying condolences on behalf of the state BJP legislators.
State Party president Along remembered late Ekonthung as someone whose principles and integrity could “never be compromised or questioned.” In my association with him over these few years, I had known him as a strong leader who was instrumental in strengthening the 40th Bhandari Assembly Constituency as BJP Mandal President, he added.
On behalf of the rank and file of BJP Nagaland, the president conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and loved ones, while praying for the departed to rest in peace.
