Dimapur, November 10 (MExN): A 10-member team of Nagaland Muaythai team under All Nagaland Amateur Muaythai Association (ANAMA) including two officials has left for Pune to take part in the National Muaythai Championship.
The championship for both male and female will take place from November 14 to 18 at Mamasaheb Mohal Krida Sankul Stadium, Pune, Maharashtra. It will be conducted under different age categories-under 17, 19 and 19 to 37 years.
Nagaland team is led by Kennito Chishi as team manager and H. Pangmei as coach. The boxers are-T. Pangmei Konyak, L. Nyanka Konyak, Raj Kumar, W. Yate, Changwang, Chingzei T. Konyak, Beching Akai T. Konyak and Hemavi Ayemi.
Meanwhile, All Nagaland Muaythai Association president, Takameren has extended appreciation to association's patron, Temjen Toy IAS for his continuous support to the association during the last 18 years. The association also thanked Toy for extending financial support to the association to take part in the tournament.
