Strong Support to NSF on backdoor appointment & job policies

The Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) strongly support the Naga Students' Federation (NSF) stands on backdoor appointment in Government departments and on regularizing contract and ad-hoc Government employees on completion of three years in service in many government departments is unfair and injustice which is violation of Supreme court order on service regularization and the Federation specifically mention in two departments of Power and Home (Police Service) which is totally depriving many eligible and efficient candidates and discouraging to the aspiring candidates who are well equipped to face any competitive examination.

The Union opposes that the random backdoor appointment and to regularize service that refutes the essence of quality employment and any category of vacant post owing to the retirement of an incumbent government service should be interpreted as creation of New post and that post should be requisitioned to the appropriate competent authority for open competition.

The Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) taking serious concern over on backdoor appointment, strongly demanding immediately intervention of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and of present corruption system in government agencies.

The Union while representing young generation working for the interest of student's welfare particular and public in general, observed that the employment .scenario  in the present state of Nagaland has reach over saturation point whereas the thousand of thousand are been passing out every year and the rate of educated unemployed youth has been increase from year to year.

The latest figure as per 2007 registration is almost 50,000 educated unemployed youth registered in the employment exchange department. As a matter of fact the government job is the only avenue for the educated youth as of now.

Unfortunately the privilege could not be extend to the most deserving and desire ring one rather it has become almost avenue to those who has the favors and support of an influential political and other high ranking Government servants. Consequently, many qualified and educated youth who are from poor family background do not get the opportunities of being Government servant as they are being deprived.

The blanket Banned on the creation of post has in fact given great advantages to the politicians and Government servants and all these posts are being filled-up through backdoor system without making it publicize.

So long as the blanket banned on creation of post is enforce the practice of backdoor appointments will be rampant and will go undated whereby the most deserving ones will be denied and deprived of the opportunity of getting Govt. jobs. As our education system has always directed towards the white collar jobs.

Since it is the only roof where educated unemployed can take shelter and it was not justice at all. Since the blanket banned on the creation of post is not yielding any results it must be lifted henceforth.

Considering all these aspect, the Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) seriously concern over the rapid growth of unemployment problems in our state due to the Blanket Banned on creation of Govt. Jobs. The Dimapur Naga Students' Union strongly support to the Naga Students' Federation (NSF) stand on Govt. job policy in relation with the blanket banned of job creation and length of service.

The Union also strongly urged the state authority to see the seriousness of Educated Unemployment Problem in our state while the Union strongly support the Naga Students' Federation (NSF) demands on Blanket Banned on creation of Govt. jobs must be lifted henceforth, the length of services should be 33 years and the upper age limit for entry into Govt. service be enhance to 35years.
