•-The affected aggrieved teachers who happens to be the sole bread earner of the family is now facing the biggest hurdle in life after withholding our salaries nearing to about 2 years. We are in a dilemma to choose what has to be done to feed our dependents and run a normal family life. As we are not terminated we cannot chose another profession nor that can we feed our families with our profession as a teacher for which we have given our best since past nearing to 10 years. But at this agonizing juncture, our fellow Naga citizens are instead going against our bread earning profession.
The ground realities of the affected families are upto the extend of withdrawing their children from the schools, some have divorced as well as some have expired due to lack of medical support and many are at the edge of taking suicidal steps. The Aggrieved Teachers Association Nagaland (ATAN) is incapable of redressing the grievances nor encourage them to be patient. The banks that have enhanced different types of loans with the approval of the respective departmental DDO's are requested to bear with our members since the decision is pending in the cabinet. There are unending points to elaborate as to how we are suffering, but to make short we request the responsible authorities by giving us independence in the form of retention or termination if desirable at the earliest. The ATAN executives informs all its members to have a fasting prayer at their own convenience place on the 15th of Aug,2011 so that Almighty God will deliver us from these hardships as Britishers had delivered to Indians on this remarkable day.
