The deplorable condition of GS road which connects several crucial areas- rail yard, fly over and main town area- has been left unattended for over 15 years. As seen these images captured on April 1, several stretches of the road are in such a precarious condition that it could lead to grievous injuries for the commuters traversing in it. It could even be said that due to its condition, it is not even fit to be called a road anymore. In October last year, the NPCC had organised a rally highlighting the condition of this particular stretch of the road. In it, the Congress had appealed to the businessmen of that area, not to pay tax to the government if the roads were not repaired by December 31. (Morung Photo)
