The Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) today informed that Nagaland is gearing up to host the 26th Edition of the Hornbill Music Festival this December with the launch of “Ticket to Hornbill”- India’s Biggest Band Battle.
With a grand prize pool of Rs 4 Million, the competition is expected to attract top talent from across the country and beyond. Ticket to Hornbill invites bands from India and around the world to register and be part of this iconic music showdown.
The winners will earn the opportunity to perform at the legendary Hornbill Music Festival, celebrating Nagaland as the Land of Festivals.
TaFMA chairman Theja Meru expressed his gratitude to Bhikharam Chandmal for coming on board as the Presenter of this year’s Ticket to Hornbill.
He emphasized that “corporate support is a very key component of the journey and the way forward.”
He also extended thanks to the Department of Tourism Nagaland for all support, Sennheiser, the Audio Partner, and Coca-Cola, the Official Beverage Partner.
Highlighting the broader vision behind the initiative, Meru stated that this music platform is in line with the vision of Nagaland’s Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, to take Nagaland global, and expressed gratitude for his unwavering support and patronage. The event of Ticket to Hornbill is scheduled to take place from October 16-18 at Kohima.
