
Kohima/Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): The Chief Minister along with the Mokokchung Press Club, Kohima Press Club (KPC), Dimapur Press Club (DPC), and the Rising People’s Party (RPP) have united in mourning the passing of Mrs. Daisy Yaden, who passed away on September 11 in Dimapur. Daisy Yaden was the mother of Geoffrey Yaden, Editor and Publisher of the Nagaland Post.
The Mokokchung Press Club expressed profound sorrow, extending heartfelt condolences to Geoffrey Yaden and his family. They offered prayers for strength and comfort during this time of immense grief and wished eternal peace for the departed soul.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also conveyed his condolences, describing Daisy Yaden as a woman of faith and compassion. Known for her tireless support of marginalized women and children, Yaden was honored with the Governor's Medal for her social contributions. Chief Minister Rio and his family extended their deepest sympathies, praying for the Yaden family's strength and comfort.
The Rising People’s Party highlighted Daisy Yaden’s notable achievements, including founding the Nagaland Women's Welfare Association, establishing the first children's home in Dimapur, leading a rural women's literacy program, and serving on the Nagaland State Commission for Women. The RPP offered prayers for solace and extended condolences to Yaden’s family, friends, and loved ones.
