DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 21 (MExN): The Rengma Students' Union (RSU) has informed it will be launching the first phase of its verification drive for “non locals” at Tseminyu sub division from February 22 to 26 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the RSU Office Tseminyu.
A press release from the union’s President, Heiko Kent said the drive is a “routine and preventive measure to check the influx of illegal immigrants within Tseminyu jurisdiction.” It was further informed that the drive would not discriminate against any Indian citizen possessing valid Inner Line Permit (ILP).
It informed all “non local” persons in Tseminyu sub division to appear in person with all necessary and valid documents with photocopies of ILP, Aadhar Card, Pan Card or Driving License, valid Trade License and 2 recent passport photos. “Non locals who are government servants are exempted from the purview of the exercise,” the RSU informed.
The union meanwhile sought cooperation of the administration and the public of Tseminyu sub division in the exercise.
