Tsg DPDB informs on 13th Finance Commission

Tuensang, June 8 (DIPR): The monthly meeting of Tuensang District Planning and Development Board for the month of June was held on June 6 under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DP & DB, Y. L. Jami, IAS, Tuensang.
Regarding the 13th Finance Commission, Deputy Commissioner directed all the Administrative Officer to mobilize all Village Council Chairman in their respective area/areas to open joint Bank Account with Deputy Commissioner in the SBI, Tuensang within three (3) days. The work implementation for the schemes will be done by Nodal Department, District Administration and respective VCC.
The Chairman informed the house that EPIC and Photo Electoral Roll Campaign is launched in the District from 1st June 2011 along with the rest of the State. In this connection, the House reviewed the Area – wise EPIC Campaigns in the meeting.  The Assistant Election Officer, Roland Merry also explained the details of the 1st phase and 2nd phase of EPIC and Photo Electoral Roll in Tuensang District. He said that the EPIC process is going on smoothly barring few incident of malfunctioning of memory cards for which process of replacement is being arranged. He also informed the House that there will be 2nd round of Photography from 2nd July till 27th July, therefore he appealed to the people who missed out in the 1st round not to panic and get Photograph in the next the 2nd Phase.
The DC requested all the Administration officers to perform their duties sincerely and to complete the process within the stipulated time frame. He also appealed to all Department Officers to extend their full co-operation. Areas Administration officers also gave their reports on the performance / progress Reports. The Board entrusted SP Tuensang to look in case of any problems or law and order Situation arising in any Polling Station Security.
In regard to Grand in Aid to Private Schools, the Board recommended the following Private Schools for Grant in Aid in the meeting:- Montessori Kids Care School, Tuensang; Union Christian School Noksen town and Akum Imlong School, Tuensang.
The senior Treasury officer informed the Board that many Departments are not submitting their Monthly Expenditure Statement in time and therefore, he informed that Monthly Expenditure Statement must be submitted before 7th of every month which is to be tallied with the Treasury Record and Countersigned by the Treasury Officer only for Submission to the respective Head Officers and Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts. He therefore appealed to all DDO’s to submit their monthly Expenditure Statement in time and also requested all DDO’s to submit their Pay Bills after 25th of every month so as to enable treasury to release their Salaries in time.
The DC informed the Board that a Proposal was submitted by the Vidyalaya to open an Institution at Tuensang Town. The meeting discussed ways and means to enable the Institution to open at Tuensang Town. In this regard the Board Constituted a committee for selection and Location of Site at Tuensang with the following Members- Tiameren Chang, SDO (C), Sadar as Convener and other members including Tohoshe DEO (Education); Pongzangkokba, UDO (Urban Development); Dr. A. Paul, Associate Professor; Y.T.Sangtam, IRCS and N.Chingmak, Hqtr. Head DB and D.Panda, Principal, GHSS as Member Secretary.
The Board approved Rs.10.00/-Lakhs for the said Project from LADP 2011-12 under common Pool Schemes and the same Agenda will be reviewed in the next DPDB meeting. The meeting concluded with a word of thanks from the Chair.
