Tuensang, October 7 (MExN): Tuensang District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang on October 7. The meeting was chaired by DC and Vice Chairman, DPDB Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant. A DIPR report stated that the members discussed the forthcoming bye-election 58 A/C Shamator-Chessore. The Deputy Commissioner advised all the HODs to take a keen interest in the directive duties and also asked them to guide their respective staffs to be ready on call of duty.
Proposal for the financial assistant by Chang Students’ Union Tuensang to conduct a programme on “Say No To Drugs programme” was discussed. The programme will target class X students and drop out students of the district. The house decided to collect free will collection on department wise for which Dr John was nominated as Nodal officer for the same. The proposal to change the nomenclature of Sotokur by village council Sotukur was also discussed and the house agreed to forward for the government approval. The agenda of registration of Government Employees Union Chingmonger Village was discussed and considered to forward as proposed while the registration of Traditional Healers Association Tuensang was also discussed and decided to forward to the Medical Department to research and verify it before forwarding for approval.
