Tuensang, March 30 (MExN): The Tuensang District Task Force for COVID-19 on Monday reviewed loopholes in implementation of the lockdown in the district during its meeting in the DC’s conference hall, Tuensang on March 30.
Tuensang Superintendent of Police Bharat Laxman Markad said that so far 645 individuals have been screened in the district, out of which 156 are on home quarantine and 7 have completed their home quarantine period. A total of 149 people are under home quarantine as of now. It was also resolved that a medical team with proper gear will be visiting all the home quarantined people daily.
The Police force has also been directed to follow ‘non-touch’ policy to execute their duties.
According to a DIPR update, with the directive of the Tuensang Deputy Commissioner, all the colonies will deploy three well trained volunteers each for updating the status of people under home quarantine and to distribute the relief items for the needy in their respective colonies.
For emergencies Urban PHC will be used for regular treatments and severe cases of general sickness will be treated at Longpang PHC. District Hospital Tuensang will be designated as COVID-19 Hospital, the report stated.
