Unity move lauded

Dimapur, July 20 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has lauded the decision of the ‘NSCN (K)’ and FGN to unite unconditionally in principle and to work under a common platform for early political settlement with the GoI. General Secretary of the NPCC’s Media desk Vaprumu stated in a press note that the move is one first practical step in the right direction. It is hoped that the same process will include other political groups so as to make reconciliation and unification meaningful, the NPCC added. Also, the South Nagas’ Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) has  welcomed the declaration of ‘unification’ of ‘GPRN/NSCN’ and NNC/FGN on July 15. In a message, general secretary  of  the  union LK Peter Anal  stated that ‘it is certain that the two political groups have heard the voice of ongoing Naga reconciliation process which is not by the power of mankind, but of divine power.’ The union also appealed to all leaders of the Naga groups to ‘be brave enough in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to forgive and forget their past differences to achieve the fullness of peace and reconciliation and Naga political solution at the earliest.’ “Nagas are too few to be divided in any field,” SNUNS added.
