It has been said but not often enough that all power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. To Marcus Olson, “Powers make all politicians behave like robbers, of whom some are very bad and other less so. The first kind encounters his victims but once. He acts like a highway robbers and takes everything he can. Whereas, on the contrary, unlike the first, the second live with his victims and feeds them in order to get a good yield; he nurtures the sufferers quiet for a grand harvest.” The undying greed of politicians for their own political empire in wealth at the mercy of the innocent and helpless people is the mother root-causes of all anti-social elements prevalence in the today’s society. And at the best what we can do is to induce them to feed us our morning/evening meals rather than rob of us everything.
To state the fates and facts of the politically victimized people is a matter of stupid thing in as far as present political’ fashions is concerned; may be a risky deal in the eyes of the Critiques and might instead proved harmful than inviting-good merely for the sake of being honest. In that case, the powerless victims are left with no alternatives than to quietly watch their tactful lying games of ruthless predators. However, yours sincerely do often wonder for how long could we the victims tolerate when it crosses all the limits as long as democracy exists?
Nagaland, a small state in the North-east of India and falling under the largest system of Democratic form of Government in the World is popularly known to the outside world as; once Indigenous-Head-hunter people turned Christian with the arrival and invasion of British to India. ‘Nagaland for Christ’ and ‘Dry State’ is the two eminent characteristic and identity of the Nagas which every children of the soil takes prides in. But today, its characters are crushed down to a condition of dust-like a woman of filthy and loose charactered who are ever ready and willing to do anything for the love and sake of money. Wouldn’t be more appropriate if call it by the name “Nagaland for Crimes”/’Nagaland Cries’ and ‘Crime State’/’Crying State’? Instead of the former .We had failed to resist the existing ego-politicians and intruders from exploiting us as if we are their owned-domestic animal pets or their ancestral inherited properties.
The undying greed and lust for more power and wealth by the Political Gamblers are the mother root-causes of all anti-social activities/anti-social elements/unwanted events prevailing right now before our very own eyes. While on the other side, though no worth mentioning; some UG’s so-called the patriots of the land are claiming the lives of the innocent in the name of Sovereignty and shamelessly licking as much as they can from the state-politicians and central funds.
The high-handedness of the people in powers both political/bureaucrats have hampered and shattered the bright futures of our countless talented and capable youths who are promised to be the Transformer of the future of the Naga Society. They are strayed into the wrong directions by the powered people’s behaviors’ and left with no choice to explore and mobilize their hidden talents. Frustration had over-powered our victimized youths. The Society according to them is their enemy and a stumbling block before them. Me’ seems they are turning and rising up sharply to be against the society and yet it’s really true. This is one of the greatest and possible threats to our nearing futures. It has started to emerge and take its root. It is not from the outside world but within the four walls of our own society and is really frightening matter.
Are we heading towards the unknown destination of destructions? The gems of Nagas for tomorrow are buried alive at gun-point by the predators who except for the interest of themselves and to build the castles/palaces for their off-springs. The extreme injustices of the political dons and bureaucrats have created an unimaginable size of negative impact in the minds of the victimized educated-unemployed youths. A sense of inferiority complex/hatred and enmity has taken a firm root in their minds with the objective of vengeance. Circumstances compelled them to join any UG’s group not for the love of Nagas’ Freedom but with the motif of terrorizing those politicians/bureaucrats and wealthy people for the injustice meted out to them. This is one among the many reasons why the whole society has to is suffering and finding hard to deal in balance with the prevailing systems. Victimized youths went underground not for Naga Sovereignty but otherwise; and those who in actual sense deserve our moral support have instead turned their foes and in that case; the law of society goes unruly in every respect. An unfortunately, the consequents of the so-called victimized youths have to shed bloods just for being in then rival faction and lost their lives bearing no fruits at the hands of his own brethren who actually are probably from the same family tree. Sadly, their sacrificial lives finished in worthless manner and no patriotic signs before the heartless public. Who is responsible? What? And from where it started its root? Everything has its own alpha and omega but what is the worth? And I guess, they don’t deserve to die this and rather deserve a prominent status in the Society if given a fair chance by the Politicians. Everyone is equal before the law of the land and therefore neither you nor I have a single right to suppress and deal with his fellowmen in the Democratic State.
Though of no worth mentioning, with due respect yours very sincerely like to add up some more bites from the reality experiences of the past. It is will be very much felt by me a sense of justification and get relieved as the saying goes; ‘burden shared is burden minus’ And this what the story goes. I’ve appeared the PMRY interview for 5 times consecutively and scored the maximum marks every time and stood out to be among the best deserved candidates but interestingly never selected. However, hoping against hope, I tried for the 6th time and you won’t believe it. Ha! Ha! I was finally selected as they (members) must have been fed up of seen my face for so many times, realizing that if not given a chance it’s almost near to my retirement from this PMRY Interview before 7th attempt. However, One by third of this project amount was already spent during then 6th struggling years from Pfütsero-Chozuba I was utilized as per the project assisted and the principal was recovered to the SBI within the time framed despite of the knowledge that the recovery records of loans by the SBI from the past beneficiaries were nil. This to set an eye opening example to other stupid fellows and as a sign of my sincerity
The next blockbuster got flopped!! The 2003 will never be/able erased from my memory. Curious? Yes I’ve done it again. I was among the top 10 among the 300-plus passed candidates of the UGT exam 2003 held at Pfütsero under DIS Pfütsero and appeared the oral for the same. Despite of non-stop barking from every corners of the society by the candidates and parents for delaying the result for so long; the Authority kept the grievances under the pillows and slept over it. However, I am still waiting for the result with a confidence but to my uttered surprises and shocking, the fellow competitors (who possessed political backings) were already in the line of duty while the result remained undeclared to poor fellow like us till date.
More than to this; something that shot right through the core my heart was 20 Grace Mark to the failure adhoc candidate especially whom I am very much familiar with his in capabilities. I bet, if he couldn’t write even from three-four sentences correctly as far as Grammar is concerned and interestingly, the father is a gospel preacher. Woooh!! Double and bonus lucks for them. Some people really all the lucks and favours.
That’s the true nature of our Democratic Government we all see and this not a denying fact. People with strong political backgrounds deserve all the opportunities of the Government; there is no comprise. But never and in any, I’m not going to compromise or surrender to this dirty and unqualified teachers if they are to deal with the future of my kids. Children are tender and sensitive in their approaching towards his environments and realities of life. They are very fragile and have to be handling with care like a piece of glass-cup. What kind of future and society can we expect out of these ineligible people? How dare could the state politicians could come to this stage of freely playing with the thousand and thousands of young tender brains and sensitive minds of our Future Generations? Well!!!! Anything of too much is not good. That for real and is not barking/joking matter to be lightly treated.
A very challenging question and gold-worth reminding is posed here before the table of the corrupted politicians and culprits that existence of all present anti-social activities/losing the precious lives of so many talented youths through or by means of factional activities/ and what not etc are all responsible by the Dirty Politicians of the Naga Society.
