WAPO appeals for ‘quality public service’

Kohima, January 27 (MExN): The Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO) on Wednesday appealed for government employees to report back to work wherever applicable.  Greeting public servants under its jurisdiction on the dawn of another calendar year, WAPO stated that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected all mankind. While many ‘new normal’ have come to stay, WAPO stated that, “…we could come this far through the commitment and dedication of undisputable service of public servants starting from the rank of the administrative head—the Sub-Divisional Officer Civil, down to the grade IV staff of every department operating in the area.” During these challenging times, more sacrifices for the people is required from each and every one serving in the locality, WAPO stated, while expressing its hope that “…every single day is dedicated to the people through quality service.” It also cautioned that any one found neglecting his/her obligations, would not be taken well by ‘the public watchdog’. WAPO further conveyed best wishes to all for a successful year and prayed for rich harvest to the community in particular and the Naga society in general.
