Dimapur, February 22 (MExN): The Working Committee, Naga National political Groups (WC, NNPGs) on Tuesday requested business establishments and proprietors to keep a vigil and identify those demanding financial assistance in the name of WC, NNPGs
In a press release issued through its Media Cell, the WC, NNPGs stated that the business fraternity in Dimapur and surrounding area have been experiencing more threats and intimidations from dubious characters posing as WC representatives and demanding financial assistance.
Stating that the imposters using the nomenclature of NNPGs have been identified and details of their extortion amounts have been unearthed, it directed all those who have demanded and collected cash from business outlets and commercial outlets in the name of WC, NNPGs to submit the collected amount to the Co-ordinator or any of the WC Co-Conveners within one week, with effect from the publication of this statement.
“Failure to respond to this media publication, the WC, in the interest of the business community, shall arrest and declare quantum of punishment against the offenders according to their crime,” it added.
