The Yungshuei Model Cluster Level Federation (MCLF) was officially launched today on September 10 at Noksen Village under the Noksen Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU). The federation, established on July 23, 2022, aims to improve livelihoods for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the area.

The launch event was chaired by C Auchingsonla, Area Coordinator Livelihoods (Non-Farm), BMMU Noksen. The program began with an invocation by Dr Y Alen, Pastor of Noksen Baptist Church. Khamching M, Area Coordinator Livelihoods (Farm), BMMU Noksen, provided an overview of the Yungshuei MCLF and its current status.

Thrikyuse Sangtam, Assistant District Program Manager of NSRLM Tuensang, introduced the MCLF, detailing its roles and functions. He emphasized the Village Poverty Reduction Plan (VPRP) and highlighted the Prime Minister’s new goal of creating "Lakhpati Didis," women entrepreneurs earning over one lakh rupees annually through SHGs.

Hinoto Sumi, Section Officer of RD Block Noksen, encouraged SHGs to maintain their high performance and continue engaging positively with various departmental schemes aimed at their improvement.

Elithung Kikon, Branch Manager of SBI Noksen, discussed organic farming and the importance of maintaining a bank account. He advocated for credit linkage and participation in social security schemes, urging renewed collaboration among stakeholders.

Yongkong Chingmak, Village Council Chairman of Noksen Village, advised focusing on financial literacy and prudent financial management. 

The launch of the Yungshuei MCLF is expected to significantly advance the livelihoods of rural communities in Noksen, empowering SHGs through improved financial management, organic farming initiatives, and effective use of government schemes.
