Zasivi FC wins Futsal Tourney

Kohima, August 5 (MExN): Zasivi FC emerged as champions of the 7 a side futsal tournament held at Pro Turf Perizie, Kohima on August 5. 

In the final match, Zasivi team defeated Red Scars (A) via tie breaker 4-2 after the thrilling match ended in a 1-1 draw. It was Zasivi FC that managed to pull off the win scoring all the goals in the penalty shootout to take the title. 

The two-day long tournament was organised by Khedi Baptist Fellowship, Themezie to raise fund for its Fellowship Building. A total of 32 teams from various corners of the State participated in the tournament.

Zasivi FC walked away with a cash reward of Rs 50,000 while Red Scars received a cash reward of Rs 30,000.

The two semi finalists Red Hornets & Anonymous FC received cash rewards of Rs 10,000 respectively. 

Shalo Kemp of Red Scars (A) topped the goal scorers chart by 11 goals and received Rs 5,000 while the Best Keeper Award was bagged by Imnasunep Jamir of Red Scars (A) and received a cash reward of Rs 5,000. Menoneikho Nakhro of Zasivi FC was declared the Player of the Tournament and he walked away Rs 5,000 richer.

The matches were conducted by Kohima District Football Referees Association.
