Registration for Naga wrestlemania, X-1fights night to commence from September 1

The registration for Naga wrestlemania-7 and X-1fights night (Mixed martial) will be commenced from September 1. Registration for NagaWrestleMania-7 (King Of The Ring Series 2018) and X-1 Fight Night (Mixed Martial Arts) will commence simultaneously on 1st September 2018 at 3E Office, Dzevi Building (2nd Floor) Opposite UBC, Near Kohima Local Ground North Gate.
The two events are part of the Combat Sports Festival, to be organised by 3E Nagaland, scheduled from October 22 to 27 at Kohima Local Ground, Khuochiezie.
Another event of the said festival will be Nagaland Taekwondo League which will be organised by Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) for which registration and event details will be announced by NTA.
Naga Wrestle Mania 7 (King Of The Ring Series 2018) will be held on October 23 and there will be two categories – Lightweight (74 Kg & Below) and Heavyweight (Above 74 Kg) but unlike previous years, only preliminary rounds will be conducted on category basis and without going into category individual rounds, the last 16 wrestlers in both categories will be grouped together for the Round of 32 (16+16) to vie for the King Of The Ring Championship.
King Of The Ring 2018 champion will pocketed a cash prize of Rs. 1,20,000 while runner up will receive Rs. 60,000. The 3rd and 4th place winners will get Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 15,000 respectively. Losing 4 will get Rs. 8000 each, losing 8 –Rs. 5000 each and losing 16– Rs. 3000 each.
This change in format is to be effected since it was observed that the gruelling category championships often led to injury-related absence in the all-important King Of The Ring Championship which became a disappointment for wrestlers as well as wrestling fans. Moreover, the new format will ensure that the event winds up in a single day which is sure to go well with the spectators.
X-1 International, in short called x-1.in is a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event that will be held on October 26 and 27.
First night will be X-1 Fight Night featuring amateur fighters drawn from open registration whereby well performing fighters will be identified for title fights in upcoming x-1 events, apart from medals and gifts; Second night will be X-1 Championship Night featuring already registered/ranked fighters vying for championship titles in different weight classes.
