Loyem Memorial Trophy: DEF secures semi-final berth, Khulio King wins

Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): Khulio King won 8-0 against Skipper Young United FC while DEF, Tuensang beat United FC by 2-1 in the ongoing Loyem Memorial Trophy today. 

In the first match, Longkoi of Khulio King scored four goals in the 12th, 15th, 26th and 28th minutes. Shurhosol scored a brace in the 22nd and 34th minutes while Kekhrie and Yamchan added a goal apiece in the 49th and 57th minutes.

In the second match, Tangmong scored first for United through a free kick in the 16th minute. DEF made a comeback by scoring two quick goals by Yemjong and John in the 22nd and 25th minutes. With this win, DEF secured a place at the semi finals of the trophy. 

Meanwhile, Nyenshen FC’s management, players and fans cleaned Loyem Memorial Ground and its surrounding after the match. In a bid to encourage Swaach Bharat Mission in the district, the club took the initiative to clean the ground.
