130 participate in One Nagaland Run-5K in Kohima

The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Youth Wing, Kohima Division, in collaboration with the Kohima District Athletic Association, organised the Kohima district chapter of “One Nagaland Run-5K” under the slogan “Running Together, Growing Together” here on August 21.

Around 130 participants, including men and women in the open category, took part in the run from P R Hill Junction to Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School Ground.

Medoviu Martin Suohu, Councillor, Ward No. 19, Kohima Municipal Council, attended the event as the special guest.

The programme featured a keynote address by Kekhrie Pfukha, Vice-President, NPF Central Youth Wing, followed by an invocation prayer by Kezhaletuo Yano, Associate Pastor, Immanuel Baptist Church, Kohima.

In the men’s category, Shiangjiu T Khiamniungan secured the first position, followed by Thepfudilhou Mere in second and Kelengoto Kulnu in third.

In the women’s category, Cekrotalu secured the first position, followed by Chongsop in second and Suhluvolu in third.
