Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): The 14 Tribes of Nagaland have welcomed the decision taken by Niki Sumi and his group to join the on-going peace talks between Government of India and the Nagas, in the larger interest of the people of Nagaland.
In a press release issued by its Co-ordinator KT Vilie on Friday, the 14 Tribes of Nagaland stated that the ‘bold steps’ taken by Niki Sumi and group “speaks volumes of the sincerity and commitment of Naga leaders towards bringing a final solution to the Naga issue and their desire for the true worth of the prevalence of peace amongst Nagas.”
As such, it expressed hope and anticipation that the centre would respond positively and honour their decision for a greater solution to the Naga peace process as early as possible.
