Peren, December 15 (MExN): ATMA Peren district conducted Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY) on Raised Bed Nursery at Jalukie Town Women Welfare Conference Hall from December 7 to 12.
Resource person Akam Zeliang and Aola Tzudir highlighted on raised bed nursery and its benefits.
The training was attended by 17 rural youths from villages of New Jalukie, Nkwareu, Mhainamtsi and Samziuram village.
Hands on demonstration were held at St Xavier College, Jalukie town where the trainees were train and demonstrated with the motives of “Learning by doing”.
Raised bed preparation and different types of vegetables seed sowing was demonstrated. On the 6th day the trainees were taken to Organic Farm at Samziuram village where raised bed nursery system was being practiced successfully.
