Dimapur, November 10 (MExN): The 173 Bn CRPF based at Airfield, Dimapur conducted a Civic Action Program at Chümoukedima where-in various agricultural tools were distributed to the farmers of the area on November 10.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Randeep Datta, PMG, Inspector General of Police, Manipur and Nagaland Sector underlined the need of such programs by bridging the gap between Security Forces and local populace.
Earlier on the occasion, Sh Randeep Datta, IGP also laid the foundation stone for the Battalion Camping site of 173 Bn CRPF where a full-fledged CRPF unit headquarter is to be established shortly in Chümoukedima, Dimapur District on an area measuring 50.15 acres. MHA has already accorded approval for construction of staff quarters, administrative blocks, hospitals, quarter guard, playground, men’s club in the said project for Battalion camping site and initial survey and preliminary estimates have already been done for constructions of boundary walls.
In his brief speech about the project, he underlined that with this development happening in near future; it is assured that there will be a huge impact to the people especially in terms of economy and developmental activities in Chümoukedima area in particular and Dimapur district in general.
The program was attended by Syamchand De, DIGP (Ops) Kohima, Vishnu Gautam, CO-173 Bn, Thejavizo, SDO(C) Chümoukedima, Razouvotuo, Chairman Chümoukedima Village Council, Gaonburas and local prominent people of the areas as well as media fraternity. More than 200 families benefited through this CAP program.
