Tuensang, November 13 (MExN): Marking its 25th anniversary, the Tuensang District Football Association (TDFA) has launched a commemorative football tournament. The inaugural launching ceremony of the tournament - 1st TDFA Cup 2017 was held at the Tuensang Parade ground on November 28 with EAC, Tsatsüsie as the chief guest. A press release from the association informed that 26 football clubs are competing in the inaugural tournament. The association also remembered and paid tributes to departed leaders and pioneers of the TDFA. The release said that the chief guest in his address encouraged the players to always uphold the spirit of gamesmanship. “Games and sports is no longer a mere hobby or amusement but it has now become a lucrative and respectful profession,” he said.
