3116 citizens outside assisted so far: Nagaland Govt

As of April 18, a total of 3116 citizens from the state staying outside have been extended help by the government, according to Nagaland government COVID-19 Dashboard.
The figure, based on the “I am stranded | I am staying outside,” (iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in), an online platform recently created to o connect all Citizens of Nagaland living outside, the beneficiaries include 861 students, 2230 working individuals and 25 others. The Dashboard did not specify the nature of help that were extended.
Meanwhile, the Dashboard further informed that a total of 98084 stranded migrants have been assisted inside the state till April 18.
Since April 16, a total of 11429 local and 6818 non-Local migrants assisted, the Dashboard informed.
It must be mentioned here that the ‘I am stranded | I am staying outside’ platform was created to assist “only those citizens of Nagaland who are presently outside the state as a student/working professional/patient, facing hardship because of the Nationwide lockdown and unable to sustain themselves or get any assistance from family because of poor economic conditions. “It is also clarified that giving bank account details alone doesn’t assure assistance, which will be extended after due verification,” a disclaimer informed .
“Please note that giving false information or any fraudulent practices will be dealt under relevant sections of Law,” it added.
