Suruhuto, April 25 (MExN): To ensure that the 33 Suruhuto constituency is well prepared to combat COVID-19 pandemic, Advisor for Tourism, Art and Culture, H Khehovi visited the constituency with more combat equipments such as masks, hand sanitizers, PPEs, sanitizing spray machine etc.

 

The Advisor visited every village under his constituency and distributed one bag of rice to each household, a press release informed.

 

The Advisor also distributed LADP to every village on the village household ratio basis exactly as received from the Government by maintaining transparency and accountability, it said.

 

Khehovi appealed to the villagers to concentrate on traditional practice of agricultural farming for self sustenance and survival stating that even the scientist do not know what the world is heading towards.

 

He lamented that many village dwellers have stopped farming practices and are now after easy money which he said is very disheartening.

 

As such, the Advisor challenged his constituency people that he would reward the highest grain harvester from all the villages in the year end on first, second and third basis. He told the village people not to come to him seeking for help if they are not into agricultural farming. He encouraged the farmers he would help only those people who are actively involved in agricultural farming.

 

Khehovi told the village people that COVID-19 is a leveller virus because irrespective of human status and position anyone can be infected if they carelessly mingle with the strangers.

 

He said he is taking the risk to fulfill his election promises to serve his people no matter what the situation may be and appealed to the villagers to be cooperative and abide by the Government lockdown instructions and guidelines with patience and prayers.

 

He also requested his constituency people to uphold him in their prayers for his good health.
