Aoyimti VC installs CCTV at strategic points in village

Dimapur, April 12 (MExN): The Aoyimti Village Council has installed CCTV surveillance cameras at various strategic points of the village as a measure to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and make sure that villagers “stay home and be safe.” 


Among others, it was undertaken to ensure the “restriction of entry and exit of outsiders and insiders CCTV surveillance cameras” informed a press release by Aoyimti VC Chairman Imnukloba and Secretary, A Polongnok Lkr. 


“This initiative will not only check the implementation of the lockdown but also serve as a potential means to safeguard the adjoining Airport, which is now the only reliable location for resources,” it said. 


Since the lockdown, various organisations under the village have been playing a vital role in keeping the needy families and individuals to sustain th unprecedented situation, it added.  Apart from organizations, many individuals have also contributed generously, the release said, further urging to everyone to follow social distancing decisively and comprehensively, the council said.
