Students in the Nehemiah Vision Trust COVID-19 relief camp at Shalom School, Longwa village, Mon.
Mon, April 22 (MExN): Nehemiah Vision Trust COVID-19 relief camp at Shalom School, Longwa village, Mon district is providing food, shelter and care for 26 stranded students from Eastern Nagaland since the lockdown from March 24 till date.
Since then six staff from Shalom School, Longwa are looking after the relief camp, Rev Talimeren Longkumer Director, Nehemiah Vision Trust, Dimapur stated in a press release.
“Since Longwa village is in a remote place, essential commodities which was in stock are running out, and procuring the essential commodities has become very difficult due to transportation problem for which we could not bring in any food from Mon and Assam,” Longkumer said. He expressed worry that “if the lockdown continues, we will not be able to provide the needs for the stranded students. So far, no relief team has reached from outside the village.”
