Dimapur, April 6 (MExN): People Democratic Alliance (PDA) government spokesperson Neiba Kronu on Monday issued a clarification with regard to the appeal made to people who attended the religious gathering at Nizamuddin, New Delhi. Kronu stated that “all contacts of the Nizamuddin event was actively contacted and quarantined. And the appeal was made in general to anyone who attended the Nizamuddin event to come forward and report in case if they have been missed out.” Reiterating that the appeal was made as a “good gesture to identify if anybody is left out,” the spokesperson requested for collective efforts to fight against the unprecedented global pandemic. The clarification can in the came after opposition Naga Peoples Front (NPF) questioning the government on April for appealing to the attendees to voluntarily contact and report to the respective DCs. It further accused the government of failing give a concrete details of regarding the matter even after nearly two weeks.
