Kiphire, January 19 (MExN): The Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) constructed a play ground at the remote border village of Khongsa under Kiphire district.
Based on the request of the village council, the Assam Rifles provided the JCB and the technical staff to supervise and prepare the ground which was the requirement of the village for use in sports as well as community related activities, a press release from HQ IGAR (N) stated on Tuesday.
On behalf of the GBs, Council Chairman, youth, all villagers of Khongsa Village, the Village Council extended gratitude to the Assam Rifles for their efforts and unstinted support through the various civic action activities being undertaken in this border region, it added.
