Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): The Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted various activities in the recent past. 

On January 5, the battalion organised medical camp in Jalukieram, informed press release from HQ IGAR (N). 

A total of 57 villagers, including 23 male, 27 female, and 7 children benefited from the medical camp, it said. 

Meanwhile, on the same day, the troops of the Battalion on January 5 were involved in “revitalising” of roads in Peren Town near of All Saints Higher Secondary School.

The troops helped the public with necessary equipments and workforce in repairing the roads which were in dilapidated state leading inconveniences to the public, another HQ IGAR (N) release informed. 

The stretch of road in front the School was maintained by the combined efforts of security forces and the locals, it said. 

On January 8, the Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a COVID-19 campaign at Huenambe village focusing on the current rising levels of COVID-19 cases in the country and state. 

Besides, basic medical check up, the villagers were informed about the upcoming nationwide vaccination programme. 
A total of 30 villagers attended the event, a HQ IGAR (N) release informed.
