Kiphire, April 23 (MExN): The frontline workers in Kiphire, comprising Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and Anganwadi workers have been carrying out awareness activities to sensitise villagers about COVID-19 infection under Kiphire district.
ASHAs have been playing active role in their villages by reaching out to families through house to house visit and sensitising them about the COVID-19. They have been visiting 25 households every day, monitoring their wellbeing, wherein, if any suspected cases were detected they refer them to the nearest health units.
At the same time, Anganwadi workers have also been carrying out sensitising drive in their villages with their focus on disseminating the importance of hand washing, cleanliness, social distancing, hygiene, and also emphasising on the etiquette of spitting, coughing, and sneezing.
At the district level, the medical team has been visiting the homes of quarantine people every day to assess their wellbeing and to monitor if they are following the guidelines of home quarantine protocol.
