Mokokchung, April 24 (MExN): The Chief AH & Veterinary Officer, Mokokchung, Dr BM Sunep today said that information has been received from the Department on the reported occurrence of Swine Fever Disease in the border State of Assam especially in Jorhat and Sibsagar districts which borders Mokokchung. Therefore, in order to prevent the import of Swine Fever disease into the District, it is notified to all concern that no pigs should be allowed to enter Mokokchung district from Assam till further notice. “Even cut meat of pork is prohibited to be imported from Assam till further notice,” Dr Sunep added.
