A low intensity bomb exploded at Mantripukhri in Imphal East district in the wee hours of Monday. However, there was no casualty.
The blast went off around 2 am at Mercylane in Mantripukhri, 45 meters away from a bank branch, damaging slightly the outer wall of a residential building. Police have no clue as who could have been responsible for the incident.
It can be recalled here that, on September 16 four persons got hurt when unidentified persons lobbed a grenade in the lawn of a building of one Mukesh K Sharma at Mantripukhri in north Imphal.
