DIMAPUR, APRIL 26 (MExN): A building was partially damaged in a fire incident at Jalukie on April 27 morning.


A press release from the Fire Department informed that on receiving a fire call at 9:46 am on Monday, at Mhainamtsi (Kohima Road), the Jalukie, Fire & Emergency Services mobilised a quick response team from Fire Station Jalukie and pressed into action to contain the fire. 


While a building was partially damaged by the flames, intervention of fire personnel managed to put the blaze under control and prevented it from further spreading to adjoining building. 


The cause of fire is due to a short circuit, the press release added. Fortunately, no casualty was reported. The response team was led by Khriemezo Mere, OC and Duty Commander, ASI, Lakhum Yimchunger.
