
Dimapur, April 15 (MExN): The Chiephobozou Town Council today issued a press release informing that the Chiephobozou town area will be completely shut down from April 16-17.
It said that the decision was taken after an emergency council meeting in view of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As such, the Council has notified that all shops and business establishments will be completely shut during the period and restricted residents from “loitering around in the town area along the national highway.” It also restricted vehicles from being parked on the roadside in the town area.
While the CTC restricted local residents from travelling to Kohima or any other places, farmers/cultivators have been allowed to cross the town area before 7:00 am and return after 5:00 om only.
Those exempted from the restrictions include Administration, police, medical staff, fire services, water supply personnel and personnel on electricity duty.
