The Advisor was accompanied by a host of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) leaders from the state, Mokokchung Region, 29 Jangpetkong AC, Changki village council and others. This tour is a continuation of the mega sensitization programme for different governmental programmes at Changki village held on November 29. After a hiatus due to the Hornbill Festival, the tour continued from December 15 and ended on Saturday, December 16, a press release issued by Media & Publicity, 29 Jangpetkong AC informed.

Advisor Temjenmenba, during his public meetings, solicited the people to join hands with him in the collective endeavor to bring development in the constituency. Reiterating his election motto of ‘bringing and working for development in a mission mode’, Temjenmenba said that there are still four more years to go where they have to work together to achieve their aspirations for development.

He pledged to bring whatever development that he can as long as he is the legislator from the constituency and therefore called for unity among the people so that the developmental works can reach every nook and corner of the constituency.

During the tour, Temjenmenba also handed over the completed CMHIS cards to the village councils to be distributed to the beneficiaries who were recently registered during the Beneficiary Identification Drive (BIS) sponsored by him and conducted by the NDPP 29 Jangpetkong AC.

Meanwhile, NDPP Nagaland State working president, N Bendang Jamir, pointed out that the transport department, which was neglected for long time, has now become one of the most vibrant departments and serving the people all over the state.

On a political note, Jamir highlighted Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s initiative of taking yearly review of all the NDPP MLAs and constituencies from time onward. In this regard, Jamir said that a six member committee has been formed at the party level and also a committee has been formed from among the legislators to make this yearly review. This review will determine who gets the party ticket during the next election.

NDPP Mokokchung Region president Mayangnungba, who also spoke at the programme, said the party under the initiative of the Advisor Temjenmenba is taking huge steps within a short period of time like the ‘sensitization programme’ and registration of beneficiaries for Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) etc. Such initiatives is in consonance with the party motto of ‘deeds, not words’ and the expressed declaration of the PDA government under Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio of taking Nagaland ‘towards a state of excellence,’ he claimed.
