Dimapur, June 21 (MExN): Commissioner & Secretary NLA, N Benjamin Newmai in a press release has stated that the Committee on Petitions under the Chairmanship of Yitachu, MLA had its first introductory Meeting on June 20 with almost all the Committee Members. The committee comprises of MLAs Pohwang Konyak, Eshak Konyak, Azheto Zhimomi, Dr. Chumben Murry, and Keneizhakho Nakhro. The Committee has adopted the listed Internal Working Rules of Committee on Petitions under which any citizen having grievances in relation to a bill or any matter of general public interest may petition countersigned by an MLA to the Speaker through the Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, who may present it to the House, and which gets referred to the Committee on Petitions.
