A Dimapur police personnel succumbed to injury in hospital after a road mishap on the Dimapur-Chümoukedima 4-lane stretch of NH 29. He was admitted to the CIHSR after reportedly hitting a truck while returning home from work on his motor-cycle. According to police sources, the accident occurred on January 16 evening at 6th Mile. The sources said that the unnamed policeman was heading towards Chümoukedima when the motor-cycle collided with a stationary truck. He was placed in the ICU where he succumbed to injury in the afternoon, Sunday. He was a constable in the 6th NAP Battalion and was attached to the Dimapur Police Commissionerate’s armed branch.
